I-NOT Merry CHRISTmas is the phrase that should be said!!
Since Jesus was birthed by MARY, the virgin who had never been wed.  
 
She sacrificed her own virginity, so the world could experience HIS loving divinity.  And although this loving and selfless act may evoke feelings that make us “merry”, those feelings would NOT exist, had it not been for a WOMAN named MARY!!   MARY CHRISTmas!!
